Reliance Jio has extended its 4G mobile services to a village near Pangong Lake in the Ladakh region. With this, Reliance Jio became the first network to provide 4G mobile connectivity in and around the Pangong region, an area that has been a sticking point between India and China in recent years.

According to officials, Jio launched its 4G voice and data services in Spangmik village near Pangong Lake in Ladakh. According to a report by PTILadakh Lok Sabha member Jamyang Tsering Namgyal inaugurated Jio mobile tower in Spangmik village.

At the inauguration, Namgyal said that with the launch of the 4G mobile network in the Pangong area, “the long-standing demand of locals has been met.” “This launch will boost the region’s economy in addition to providing seamless connectivity to tourists and troops in the region,” he said at the inauguration.

The telecom operator said it was “continuously expanding and increasing its network in the Ladakh region in line with its vision to digitally connect everyone and empower societies”.

“Overcoming the challenge of the extremely difficult terrain and harsh weather conditions, the Jio team continues its efforts to reach the most remote parts of the Union territory to ensure that people stay in touch in the areas that remain. otherwise cut off from the rest of the country for months,” Jio said in an official statement.
