Parkham added to Post Office plans for mobile service

The Post Office has announced plans to include a remote North Devon village in its Mobile Post Office scheme. As part of an ongoing modernization and investment program for the entire postal network, the municipality will now be served by Mobile Post Office.

They are testing a new mobile service at the Allardice Village Hall car park, Parkham, EX39 5UX every Tuesday from 1.55pm to 3.05pm. It starts on Tuesday, May 10.

This additional stop aims to offer even more comfort to Post Office customers by extending the availability of the services of the Post Offices in the territory. The new branch joins Buckland Brewer’s mobile post office, as well as branches in Bucks Cross and Woolsery, bringing vital services to this area of ​​Devon.

To accommodate the new mobile service, there will be a change to the current Buckland Brewer Mobile Service hours. Matt Walls, Head of Postal Network Delivery, said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for customers to pay their bills, withdraw money from their bank accounts and send and collect their mail at home. time and place that suits them best. .”
